All thrillers have a certified age rating of 15, so most people who watch thrillers are between 15 and 30. This means that the target audience for my thriller is for people aged around 16-21 because the character of Fred is around that age, plus 4 out of 9 people in my questionnaire were aged between 16-20 who voted for horror thrillers. Thrillers appeal to both male and female audiences and a variety of
social classes conventionally through the use of relatable characters
and themes throughout the film.
The following image below shows that the most popular demographic of
thriller films are those who are below the age of 30, according to this
survey taken by someone.
Therefore, because the majority of the audience of thrillers are below
30, then the target audience that I am aiming for with my film, is those
below 30, and will aim to accomodate what under 30's like in a
thriller.
